The problem
A contractor of this size typically runs on dozens of spreadsheets, a few form apps and scripts that only one person understands. Field crews enter the same information several times, and when something breaks nobody notices until payroll or a closeout is wrong.
What I built
- A single installable web app for the office and the field: jobs, people, schedules, tickets, documents and notifications.
- A permission model where each person sees only what their role allows, with private employee fields walled off, and outside viewers limited to named screens.
- Per-job file folders with upload from a phone, background jobs for PDFs and email, and a daily digest.
- A written specification and decision log first, then delivery in gated phases, each with unit tests and phone-sized end-to-end tests.
